I'm Jignesh, founder of SkillSprout America and dad of two girls. For 14 years I did what many parents do: worked a "9–5" that was really 8–7, built a career I was proud of, and made all the responsible moves—529 plans, investments, a will. I thought mostly about how much money I could compound for my kids before they grew up.
Then my job was cut in a restructuring, and I unexpectedly spent an entire summer at home with my daughters. We traveled, played, and—without really planning it—we started learning together. We turned math into games and puzzles, and soon my 7‑year‑old was solving multi-step problems in her head. We turned her interests into mini "projects," and she began giving little speeches on planets and the human body with the kind of confidence many adults wish they had.
I was amazed…and a little heartbroken. The potential had always been there. I had just been too busy to tap into it.
I realized something important: I had focused on compounding money for my kids, but not enough on compounding their skills and mindset. And if we don't design our kids' environment on purpose, the default—screens, distractions, boredom—will design it for us.
Why SkillSprout America
Out of that summer and a lot of research, SkillSprout America was born—a summer academy for ages 7–10 built around three pillars we call the "3M"s:
- Math – Deep, flexible problem-solving through STEM and logic.
- Money – Practical financial literacy and kid-sized entrepreneurship.
- Mind – Confidence, resilience, focus, and character.
We're building a place where highly capable teachers and experts help kids grow skills that will still matter decades from now, when they're in your shoes—juggling health, relationships, career or business, and money. Because you can leave your child a large inheritance, but without the right mindset and life skills, that money can disappear. When you invest in their Math, Money, and Mind today, you're compounding the inner strengths that will serve them for life.
